Semimartingale price systems in models with transaction costs beyond efficient friction

چکیده
A standing assumption in the literature on proportional transaction costs is efficient friction. Together with robust no free lunch vanishing risk, it rules out strategies of infinite variation, as they usually appear frictionless markets. In this paper, we show how models and without can be unified. The bid ask price a risky asset are given by c\'adl\'ag processes which locally bounded from below may coincide at some points. first step, that if bid-ask model satisfies "no unbounded profit risk" for simple strategies, then there exists semimartingale lying between process. second under additional zeros spread either starting points an excursion away zero or inner right, every predictable strategy specifying amount assets, used to construct corresponding self-financing risk-free position consistent way. Finally, set most general introduced, also provides new view case.

Consistent price systems and arbitrage opportunities of the second kind in models with transaction costs
In contrast with the classical models of frictionless financial markets, market models with proportional transaction costs, even satisfying usual no-arbitrage properties, may admit arbitrage opportunities of the second kind. This means that there are self-financing portfolios with initial endowments laying outside the solvency region but ending inside. Such a phenomenon was discovered by M. Rás...
متن کاملConsistent Price Systems and Face - Lifting Pricing under Transaction Costs
In markets with transaction costs, consistent price systems play the same role as martingale measures in frictionless markets. We prove that if a continuous price process has conditional full support, then it admits consistent price systems for arbitrarily small transaction costs. This result applies to a large class of Markovian and non-Markovian models, including geometric fractional Brownian...

The aim of this note is to establish criterion of absence of arbitrage opportunities under small transaction costs for a family of multi-asset models of financial market.

proportional transaction costs using the utility-maximization framework of Davis (1997). This approach allows option prices to be computed by solving the investor’s basic portfolio selection problem without insertion of the option payoff into the terminal value function. The properties of the value function can then be used to drastically reduce the number of operations needed to locate the bou...
متن کاملTransaction Costs in Financial Models
Standard models for nancial markets are based on the simplifying assumption that trading orders can be given and executed in continuous time with no friction. This assumption is clearly a strong idealization of the reality. In particular, securities should not be described by a single price but by a bid and ask curve. As a rst approximation, one may assume that the bid and ask prices do not d...
